When doing yoga you have to stay focus on breathing; breathing helps clear the mind, remove negative thoughts and helps you focus on what you are doing. You can focus all of your energy on delivering your baby.
Yoga also helps with knowing your body and knowing what position is most comfortable for you. In yoga, you know how far you can push your body to doing a position and holding it for a certain amount of time. This helps when it’s time for delivering your baby, not only the comfort level that you have with your body in different positions, but preparing for the delivery of your baby.
Yoga is a great exercise, some people like to do heavy exercise and some people like to do light exercise. Regardless of what type of exercise a person likes, yoga helps benefits everyone with shaping our bodies.
Doing yoga, while pregnant, helps mother and baby bond, helps mother become more flexible and gives her strength for delivery. Once the pregnancy is done, mother can continue doing yoga which will help with putting her body back in shape.
These are just a few benefits for doing yoga when pregnant. Breathing helps the mother prepare for delivery by focusing on the baby and staying positive. When doing positions in yoga, you know what positions you are most comfortable with and you can apply this for the delivery.

#20 Five Healthy Habits for Your Family
There are plenty of simple ways to guide your family to a healthier lifestyle. Here are a few ways to get headed in the right direction:
1. Prepare Fresh Whole Foods, every day – It takes a certain level of commitment to keep your kitchen stocked with fresh foods, but the effort involved will pay off in dividends over the long run. Experiment with new recipes, involve your kids, and have fun with it!
The more unprocessed, home-made foods you eat, the better.
2. Eat with your kids – let your kids see you eat the healthy foods that you want them to enjoy, and show them how much you really do enjoy eating well.
It’s also a great ritual to share meals together at home, rather than eating on the run.
3. Be Honest about your choices – When you have to say “no” to certain foods, there’s no need to withhold the reasons why those foods are unhealthy.
You may be surprised how well kids respond to straightforward principles that reflect respect for our bodies and our planet.
For example, if you are restricting processed sugar from their diet, tell your kids (in an age appropriate way) that sugar causes cavities, depresses the immune system, and makes us feel out of balance. They’ll think twice about the merits of sweet stuff – though you might have to bring it up a few times before it hits home. If you prefer not to eat meat, explain the thought process behind your choice in a gentle, accessible way.
Your kids will understand that these are not arbitrary limitations, and they might end up making the same choices on their own.
4. Get your kids involved in the process – the more a child experiences and understands the process that puts food on the table, the more they will appreciate it.
Growing herbs or a vegetable garden, family trips to the farmers market, picking your own fruit at a local farm, or even an engaging trip to the grocery store together – all of these activities will teach your kids where good food comes from, and plant the seeds for them to make healthier choices in the future.
5. Be in Nature together – What’s healthier than fresh air? Kids need exercise and time spent in nature to build healthy, happy bodies and minds – but with TV, computers and video games, the time that children today spend outdoors has decreased, and the disturbing childhood trends of obesity, attention deficit disorder and depression are on the rise. Kids who spend time in nature learn how to respect the earth, and the importance of living in balance with our natural environment. It’s fun and healthy – for parents, too!
