Jaro was creating a beautiful muesli al by himself and was so proud of it! He told me to grab the camera and video him, because he wanted to share it with you. Here you can see how important raw food recipes are for the health of your children.
Kids need to have the feeling, that they are involved in the process of creating the food. This will enable them to form and build a connection to the food, But most important:
They will more likely eat it, because they have made it by themselves.

I just recently read an article in „The Green Parent“ magazine about Chickweed. And for those of you who know The Rawfoodfamily for a while, you know that we love chickweed. Chickweed is one of our favourite „weeds“ - we call it wild edibles. You can tell it by its tiny, withe, star-shaped flowers, which give it its botanical name, STELLA MEDIA.
Also look for opposite leaves. If you have garden beds, you probably know that chickweed loves rich garden soil and thrives in the cool wet we...
Some weeks ago our children watched the movie „Ice Age II“.
Now, we are normally not very keen on letting them watch movies, but it is quiet helpful in getting them interested in learning english. They would watch the film in english and afterwards they ask plenty of questions about english words and phrases, from sentences they really want to understand.
Now, there is this scene when the squirrle , which is crazy about his nut ends up in heaven. Heaven is filled with nuts and one really , ...

GREEN BEAN day!
Yes, today was again one of those funny days. If you are a parent you might know what I'm talking about. There are these green Beans,. And, whenever I ask my children to eat them, they go „ Yak, We don't like green beans. „ So, I end up eating them alone!
But, every now and then- let's say every 3-4 weeks, they look into the fridge and find some green beans and suddendly they start eating them- like-all of them ! All my children sit down and empty one or two bags of green beans...

Connection between us parents, food and the health of our children
It is really important to understand, that you are a role model for your child. That means when you get the connection between living foods and your health , your child will as well!!
So, lets start with exploring our role and feeling the difference:
First: Imagine yourself, how you feel after a heavy "normal" Fast food-meal.
And now : Think about a fully ripe juicy organic mango and how you feel afterwards.
After being in Thailand for more then 3 months, we finally returned to the UK for a stop-over. We have become so familiar with the tropical lifestyle, that we were a little bit shocked about the change coming back. Right now in the middle of February the land and the people are soooo low in energy. Everything is cold, grey and waiting for the spring, which is fortunately about to come very soon. It made us realise how vibrant and healthy we are and feel. We just also realised, that we really ...

What to watch out for during the wintertime and in general
During the wintertime there is obviously not as much sun light as there is during the rest of the year.
We need the sun to produce Vitamin D. Vitamin D is needed for developing strong teeth and bones. It is especially important for children to get enough, because they are still growing.
Last winter, when we stayed here(in the UK), we haven't been careful enough with it and Ronja developed some little cavities.

We are still celebrating our long, long holiday in the warm tropics, enjoying every day with appreciation and gratitude.
We have found the “perfect” beach here on the islands for our raw food children, were we stay right now. All our kids said that they want to move to that beach, and stay there for a couple of years.
Once we set a foot on that beach, they all run of doing different things. They only come by to our place, to grab some food, and then they are off again, to play in the war...

Before we share our secrets of having healthy and happy raw food children, we want to give you a little update on our situation here in Thailand. We have found another very calm beach. Energy ends at midnight, so that we sit in darkness, surrounded by the beautiful nature and the sea. We can only get here with a 4 weel drive. We love it!!!
We have many coconuts, and yesterday I found a big Jackfruit fallen of a tree here! That was great!
There are some really simple principles about the wellbei...
We have settled down in our new tropical reality and love it so much!
We couldn't even imagine how good it would feel having this intense sun, several baths in the warm sea everyday, and most important these fully ripe beautiful fruits.
Our diet has really changed dramatically since we are in Thailand. In the UK we had a high percentage of veggies and large amounts of green, and green juices. Since we arrived here we lived mainly from fruits, because they are so good here. But I have already ...
We had some great wild food family days! Our kids loooove chickweed!
Because our friend brought us this huuuge amount of wild green (chickweed). Check this out!
We already juiced 1 third of the amount, so what you see here is not all of the wild edibles we had.
It used to be kilos of it, and we ate it all! It felt so good, and the best part is: Chickweed is our most favourite wild edible, because it tastes so good.
Anyway: We started off with a green smoothie (after I had a 2 glasses of water w...

Here comes one of the most amazing and best tasting raw food recipes from this side of the universe: Raw Pizza with the Rawfoodfamily.
We first created the underground, mainly consisting out of Sunflower seeds, Linseeds and soya-sauce. This comes in the dehydrator and will stay there for one day.
Than we created a tomato sauce as first layer on the ground. Just tomatos, italian herbs, a sip of oil and salt.
You can add all sorts of veggies on that, whatever you like! That`s it! You put this in the ... Continue reading ...

We
are a Raw food family, known as The Rawfoodfamily.com, and raise three
beautiful children on a raw diet for more than 4 years now. We
started this diet, because our middle one, called Jaro was very sick,
when he started this life here on earth. He used to have chronical
diseases like Asthma, and we had to use an inhalator 4 times a day. For
all you parents out there: Have you ever tried to force a baby to wear
this mask, which is connected to a noisy machine four times a day?
Because I am working on the TV-show so much, and do lots of interview with so many people, my kids copy me in a playful way, and do interviews themself.
They create their own show and finally ask me, if i could interview them on their lifes. And as a result to this request, we created this video, in which you can see our 3 raw food children answering questions, and sharing their view on our Raw foo life style and our way of giving them education. We do homeschool our kids, which allows them so ... Continue reading ...

Are you looking for healthy food? Here are some principles, you have to be aware of, to get the best possible food for your self and your family.
First of all: get ORGANIC and LOCAL GROWN food
You do not want to suffer diseases because you have all the pesticides and chemicals that come along with "normal" food. Also by buying local, you support the farmers in your environement and do not add power to the big food companies that rule almost all of the western societies.
Her
comes the last Rawfoodfamily TV-Show!! Change has come, and we won`t
stop it! If you want to have more information you will have to join our
Facebook group called "The Rawfoodfamily TV-Show". We will go into

This question is a question we have been asked so many times, especially from people who want to start with the raw food diet.
So what is it?
To have one bottom line: The raw food diet consists out of raw vegan natural food not processed with heat over 42 degree.
At this temperature the enzymes will die and decrease the nutrition a lot. So if you like dried fruits, and raw gourmet dishes, be really aware that you do not buy products that have been dried over this magical life border, or you do no... Continue reading ...

Hallo everybody,
Today I wanted to talk about children and greens.
It
is really, really , really important to make sure, that your raw
children have plenty of greens. Even if you don`t raise your kids on a
rawvegan diet you could still give them greens in a juice or smoothie
for example.
Our children love their greens. They eat a big
variety, of spinach, kale, wild edibles and sometimes chlorella. They
have a green smoothie twice a day and in between some green leaves with
their fruits and vegt...
