I just recently read an article in „The Green Parent“ magazine about Chickweed. And for those of you who know The Rawfoodfamily for a while, you know that we love chickweed.

Chickweed is one of our favourite „weeds“ - we call it wild edibles. You can tell it by its tiny, withe, star-shaped flowers, which give it its botanical name, STELLA MEDIA.

We had some great wild food family days! Our kids loooove chickweed!

Because our friend brought us this huuuge amount of wild green (chickweed).
Check this out!






We already juiced 1 third of the amount, so what you see here is not all of the wild edibles we had.

It used to be kilos of it, and we ate it all!
It felt so good, and the best part is: Chickweed is our most favourite wild edible, because it tastes so good.

Almost all of the wild vegan-eating animals on this earth eat a high percentage of greens in their diet, so it is obvious that we should as well, especially if you have a look what science found out about the nutrition of green, and the unbelievable high percentage of minerals and vitamins in it. Today we woke up and had the famous

Breakfast:


green smoothie
avocado and carrot


Then we took of to have a beautiful family day in nature. We visited a pony farm and picked some wild edibles there together with all the ponys, sheeps and goats, that were also eating the same green than us. That felt great! We shared our food in abundance with all the animals!

Lunch:

Some raw crackers, with long red peppers, avocado and carrots.

The crackers were raw, but still it felt heavy and not so raw in the stom...

Food diary #2 eatable wild edibles

Hi out there!

Today our family started of with our famous

Breakfast:

Green smoothie
after that the kids had some Avocados, carrots and green (spinach)



Lunch time:

squeezed fresh orange juice, mixed with wild edibles
Avocado and peppers



They had each an apple during the day and some green direct from our garden, where they were playing,..


Evening: 

Again a green smoothie with squeezed orange juice, banana, wild edibles, spinach

Ronja does sometimes not like the green smootie so much, she prefers to eat...

An Odem to all the green

Hallo everybody,

Today I wanted to talk about children and greens.

It is really, really , really important to make sure, that your raw children have plenty of greens. Even if you don`t raise your kids on a rawvegan diet you could still give them greens in a juice or smoothie for example.

Our children love their greens. They eat a big variety, of spinach, kale, wild edibles and sometimes chlorella. They have a green smoothie twice a day and in between some green leaves with their fruits and vegt...
