Durian king and Tomato princess

Some weeks ago our children watched the movie „Ice Age II“.

Now, we are normally not very keen on letting them watch movies, but it is quiet helpful in getting them interested in learning english. They would watch the film in english and afterwards they ask plenty of questions about english words and phrases, from sentences they really want to understand.

Now, there is this scene when the squirrle , which is crazy about his nut ends up in heaven. Heaven is filled with nuts and one really , big and beautiful nut. When Jaro saw that, he turned around and said: „Oh, if that is heaven for the squirrle, heaven for us is full of Durian!“

By the way, he calls himself „THE DURIANKING“. And we’ve got an Jackfruitprince, which is Benny and Ronja says she is the Tomatoeprincess. If we go on like this, I would probably be The Cherry, Lambslettuce, Sprouts and Avocado Queen and Ka is the Knight of Hempsmoothies, Protector of the Greenjuices and Chewenuts.

As you can see we are all very differnt in taste. It sometimes is a real challenge to satisfied all our different needs. But, the good news is, there are things we all like. For example Durian (Jaro just likes is most of us), Coconut or Macdamia nuts, Chickweed and Custardapples and much more.

It is quite interesting to see, that although there are times when the favourite things change for some days, like for example I really went through a Mangophase in Thailand, when I had like up to 5 ripe Mangoes a day, we always come back to the real favourites.
