Is a 100% raw food diet suitable for kids?
As we have been living a raw food lifestyle together with 4 children for more than 8 years now, living in the cold Northern climate as well, as in the tropical belt around the world, we receive this question so often:
Is a 100% raw food diet suitable for children??
In this video I am giving some answers from our personal experience.
So I want to be clear right here:
I am not telling you that I know the truth.
I am not telling you what is right or wrong.
I am simply sharing our experience being on a raw food diet withour children, and helping countless families with children from all around the world to live this lifestyle together with their kids as well.
In our opinion, there are some patterns.
For example that the most common signs of malnutritioned raw food children are:
1. cavities
2. small and thin kids
3 being pale and without energy
Honestly guys:
You do NOT want this for your kids!
And we would love to share an easy message that is telling you:
“All is no problem. Just eat raw and your kids will be thriving healthy!”
Unfortunately,it isn’t that easy!
To make a statement right here, even before you watch this video:
Yes, we believe it is possible to raise your children on a 100% raw food diet.
A 100% raw food diet IS suitable for your kids.
So that being said right here, dear fellow raw food parents.
Buuu-uut:
There are quite some things you have to watch out for in order to avoid malnutrition in the name of raw natural super-health.
In order to give you those tips, I made this video.
I share 5 of the main secrets with you, that are the fundament of a successful and balanced raw food diet that is suitable for children as well.
Take care and have fun!
3 tips to overcome emotional eating habits (mood eating)
I have to admit that I comfort myself with eating. I use food to enhance or suppress some emotions and moods that I have. For example, when I am in the big city here each Thursday to visit the farmer market buying some food for the week, I am exposed to so many energies, traffic and also more pollution than being on my farm or at the ocean. I feel a bit restless and confused at the end of the day. Then I crave some fatty food like nuts or coconut pudding to ground me.
Do you also know some of this from your own life?
My statement is: EVERYBODY does engage in mood eating to one degree or another, no matter where you are in your diet. The question is more: How do you deal with it? How are you living with it? These are the interesting and more realistic questions.
In this week’s video I want to help you with some ideas and tips on how you can deal with your emotional eating habits and the mood eating, so that you do not pass on unhealthy eating patterns to your children.

Raw Food Is For EVERYBODY! (How much is up to you)
I know, I know! Raw food is for everybody! Many of the raw food teachers will also tell you that you should eat 100% or as close to 100% raw as possible, in order to avoid disease. Sorry to say that, but we do not believe that.
So many different factors come into game, and also diet is such an individual thing. It depends on your diet and health history, your emotional and spiritual body, your location, your family situation and 100 more things. So it is not so easy to make statements that apply to everybody. However, I tried to talk about some fundamental connecting facts that we all can share, that we all can apply and we all can (hopefully) agree on.
If you are currently looking for some easy to apply rules to become more healthy with your family – regardless of your diet or health situation right now, I highly recommend that you watch this video!
Tales Of A Passionate Part-Time Raw Vegan Daddy
As the message in all other raw food communities is: “Be with us or against us”, I need to take a stand here for a different message.

Even though we have been on a raw food diet for almost 8 years now, we consider ourselves super passionate part-time rawfoodists, because we have some cooked foods in our diet, and feel awesome with it.
We have incorporated some steamed vegetables, quinoa, and brown rice and are so good with it.
However, Ronja – our youngest - is still most happy with eating mainly fruits and green juices. Benny has been asking for some goats milk these days, as we have little goat babies on our farm.
If you want to hear more tales of a part time passionate raw vegan with four children, then please watch this video!
