Tales Of A Passionate Part-Time Raw Vegan Daddy

As the message in all other raw food communities is: “Be with us or against us”, I need to take a stand here for a different message.

Even though we have been on a raw food diet for almost 8 years now, we consider ourselves super passionate part-time rawfoodists, because we have some cooked foods in our diet, and feel awesome with it.

We have incorporated some steamed vegetables, quinoa, and brown rice and are so good with it.
However, Ronja – our youngest - is still most happy with eating mainly fruits and green juices.  Benny has been asking for some goats milk these days, as we have little goat babies on our farm.

This is a great step forward :-)

If everyone would be like you, the world would be much nicer!

Thanks so much for this Ka. This is exactly what we need to hear. I’m on a journey to eat more raw but to know that it’s ok if i don’t. Love your work!

Thank you for being a truth speaker,Ka.
Through my years of searching for ”perfect diet” and trying everything and being with people who eat so radically different i learned what you talk about – i am convinced a person can leave on anything provided by nature as long as he does it out of his heart’s conviction.
There are lots of us,sitting at home, knowing this truth; but you ,like few others, have a voice that goes out .So thank you for that.
May God bless you and your family with more joy and wisdom and peace.

So much wisdom here, Ka! I could not agree more. It is so freeing to let go of the dogmas. And we both know that it is easy to get sucked into dogmas in the raw food world. I feel so good, so happy and so liberated now that I simply follow my truth and my instinct. Thank you so much for your great wisdom! The raw food world needs to hear this and go this route instead of throwing the baby with the bath water like I see many people doing around me…

    Hello Ka & Family,

I think it’s great that you all get to make choices in what you are eating & are able to follow your desires. Sometimes I feel we all get too caught up in labelling ourselves & our diet, but what does it matter – as long as you are happy.

Our 3 kids are life long vegetarians, but we never once told them they couldn’t eat meat & they knew they could try it at any time. Now they are older (23, 21 & 15), they continue to be passionate about being vegetarian & have all dipped in & out of veganism too.

My Husband & I are vegan again, after eating dairy & eggs for about 10 years. We find our diet (we are in the UK) does upset people at times, as we don’t eat any processed foods or oil. As far as we are concerned we eat what is right for us – what makes us feel good & happy.

We quite like the USA term “Plant-Strong” – it seems a much more friendly way of putting our diet across & doesn’t seem to get under people’s skin…

    Bon Appetit!

    Kay :)
